MEET TESS STRÖM
MSc, BA(Hons), DipION, IFMCP
Qualified Nutritional Therapist & Functional Medicine Practitioner
After years in financial services, juggling long hours, tight deadlines, corporate dinners and running on caffeine and minimal sleep, my body finally said enough. I developed Hashimoto's (autoimmune thyroid condition), gained weight I couldn't shift, and my hormones were completely out of balance. Simple daily tasks felt overwhelming, I was constantly exhausted, and even sleeping more than 8 hours left me feeling like I'd been run over by a truck in the morning. I knew something had to change.
That's when I discovered functional nutrition.
With the right support and a science-based approach, I turned my health around completely. The improvement was so significant that I retrained entirely, leaving my corporate career to support others in improving their health.

My Qualifications
I trained at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition (London) and the Institute for Functional Medicine, combining clinical expertise with real-world understanding of what it's like to balance health with a demanding career. I'm also a qualified Massage Therapist and Reiki practitioner, which deepens my holistic approach to wellbeing, working with the whole person, not just symptoms. I'm currently training as a behavioural coach, exploring archetypal patterns and somatic practices to help clients create lasting behavioural change.
PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS
British Association for Applied Nutrition & Nutritional Therapy (BANT)
Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM)
Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)
I regularly attend postgraduate training, conferences, and seminars to stay current with the latest advances in functional nutrition and testing.

MY APPROACH
Nutrition Meets Movement & Lifestyle
My passion for health started early. Growing up in Sweden, where outdoor activity and fresh food were part of everyday life, I developed a deep appreciation for whole foods and active living. As a former competitive swimmer who still prioritises fitness, I can appreciate the interplay between exercise and nutrition in developing resilience at any age. Road cycling is now significant part of my life, having undertaken numerous domestic and international cycling trips and rides and planning many more. I can truly say I absolutely love it.
My approach focuses on evidence-based nutrition and realistic strategies that work long-term. I combine:
Evidence-based nutrition tailored to your unique needs
Functional testing when appropriate to identify root causes
Realistic lifestyle strategies that fit into busy professional lives
Long-term support focused on sustainable results
Whether you're dealing with digestive issues, autoimmune conditions, hormonal imbalances, chronic stress, or performance goals as an athlete, my role is to simplify the science and support you in building lasting health resilience.

AREA OF EXPERTISE
Work with me
I understand the demands of corporate life because I lived it. I know what it's like to prioritise work over health until your body forces you to stop. I've experienced the change that functional nutrition can create, which means I bring both clinical training and personal insight to every client relationship. I take a whole-person approach that considers not just what you eat, but how you move, sleep, manage stress, and live your life. If you're ready to take control of your health without sacrificing your career or lifestyle, I'm here to support you.
